WHAT wE DID
Principal design, Architectural design

Dentopolis is a hub for oral health care, research and teaching in Oulu. The main façade of Dentopolis is made from lacy, rust-brown COR-TEN steel, and the other façades offer the contrast of light concrete in harmony with the neighbouring buildings.

The three-storey building contains teaching facilities and offices, but the majority of the area is taken up by dental care rooms. Treatment cubicles are located behind the treatment rooms, enabling the staff to consult each other and retrieve tools or supplies.

The interiors are grouped around three tall lobbies flooded with natural light. Spaciousness and long vistas have been created using glass walls and doors, as well as large windows. The corridors of various colours glow through to the exterior at times of darkness.
