Architectural design

Lukkaroinen Architects modernised a timber house to create a suitably urban block of flats. Kontio Block, developed together with Kontio, is the first completed concept of a timber block of flats in the sector.

Kontio Block offers a collection of solutions that were tested with the help of proven architectural designs. Kontio Block combines technical expertise in timber construction with experience of residential needs and styles, as well as insight into life-cycle-wise construction. The development of Kontio Block involved a multi-professional team from Kontio, Lukkaroinen Architects, Sweco Structures, and Profin Oy.
